We are reaching the end of 2017. And what a year it’s been!
The main attraction was of course the annual AROC/ARCC Convention that took place in Montreal last July. What a fabulous event it was. It was a great honour to show our part of the country to Alfisti from all over the world. Always great to reconnect with old friends and make new ones along the way. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our National President Alex Csank and his lovely wife Diane for their hard work and dedication in putting together this great event.
2017 also saw Alfa Romeo take a larger part of the market with the launch of the Giulia and more recently the Stelvio. Always a thrill to come across a brand new Alfa on the road. If you haven’t already, I strongly recommend you take one out for a test drive!
So what’s in store for 2018? Although the 2018 events calendar is still in the works, some activities are starting to shape up. With the return of Alfa Romeo on the F1 calendar you can be sure that a few viewing events will take place. We will also repeat our Giulia test drive event but this time with the Stelvio. This time around it will be a day long event with a BBQ. Alex is also working on a new format for the Raduno Estivo which should again take place later in the summer.
But as always, the year kicks off with Jack and Kerry-Anne Livingstone’s members annual potluck dinner. This very popular get together is our chance to reconnect after a few months of miserable winter and start dreaming of driving our Alfas again. A reminder for this event will be sent to members in an email but mark your calendars for Saturday 3 February.
Until then, on behalf of the ARCO Executive, Eliza and I would like to wish you a very happy and safe holiday season and hope to see you at the potluck in February or even before if you find yourselves in Val-des-Monts.
